Rail travel

I am traveling with two others for whom I am paying. We arrive at HND airport on 5/17 and go to Tokyo for three days . On 520 we travel to Hiroshima for two days on 5/22. We travel to Kyoto for three days. On 5/25 we travel to kitten Nabi by rail and on 530 we travel from kitten Nobe to Tokyo on 531 we travel to HND airport to leave. My question is would it be less expensive to get the 14 day rail pass or to get a regional pass and pay separately for our trip from Tokyo to Hiroshima., Or to buy or to pay for each trip as we take it.
