Hi there,

We are thinking about taking the train from Kyoto to Shimoda, does anyone know if it is possible to take an overnight train? And have any good suggestions for learning the train routes?

Hi there,

There is no overnight train between Kyoto and Shimoda. The best way is to take a Shinikansen from Kyoto to Atami and use local lines from there down to Shimoda.
