Travel in December/January

Hi, I have seen that probably starting from october there will be an increase in the JR pass.

I have planned my trip for December 30th 2023 - January 6th 2024 so I was wondering if I could buy the pass with the current fare.
Reading https://www.jrpass.com/blog/pricing-and-perk-changes-to-the-japan-rail-pass it seemed yes to me but I was looking for a confirmation that my understanding is correct:
Buy the pass on Sept 30th (last available day to buy at current price) - activate the pass on Dec 30th (my first day in Japan) - 30 days available to use the ticket therefore I could use it until January 6th
