Hello
I will be travelling to Tokyo 03/24.
Staying in Tokyo 25 28. Then I would like to travel to see my son on Yuge Island -stay there until the following weekend. Then we plan to travel together to Kagoshima and I will need to fly home April 7 from Tokyo. would it be better for me to get a one or two week JR pass? Thank you

I'm happy to help! Since you aren't travelling every day, purchasing individual tickets would be your best option. This approach gives you the flexibility to take the fastest Shinkansen trains (like the Nozomi) and lets you choose a quick flight for your return from Kagoshima to Tokyo.
