Our itinerary is as follows. Can you please advise if it is worth buying the 14 day pass as I am not sure whether the JR pass will work on all the lines to these destinations.

Tokyo 15 March to 17 Match
Kyoto 17 March to 21 march
Naoshima 21 March to 23 March
Kurashiki 23 march to 25 March
Tokyo 25 March to 28 March

Hi there,

The JR Pass will cover rail travel for all these destinations and is worth considering for your itinerary. You can also use to travel to/from the airport in Tokyo and on local JR lines.

If I can make a suggestion, Naoshima is really nice but very small. Spending two days there may be too much and you could get bored quickly. Instead you could spend 1 night there and 1 night in Takamatsu (Shikoku). This would add a nice variety to your trip.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you Daniel! I did realise Naoshima is small so was considering going to Takamatsu or Inujima or Teshima . Still debating what to do! But your suggestion of Takamatsu sounds good.

Thanks

Hi Dilu,

Teshima and Inujima are great options too! You'd be perfectly fine if you include a visit to any of em :)
