Hi,

My family (Myself, my wife and 2 Daughters) are planning to travel to Japan during end of March. Need your expertise to check whether our itinerary is ok to get a JR pass, if yes how many days?

Here is my itinerary that I plan.

24/3 (Day 1)- Haneda Airport (6.40 am) - Travel to Osaka the same day.
25/3 (Day 2) - Day trip to Nara or Kyoto
26/3 (Day 3) - Universal Studio Osaka
27/3 (Day 4) - Osaka to Tokyo
28/3 (Day 5)- Tokyo
29/3 (Day 6) - Tokyo Disneyland Sea
30/3 (Day 7) - Tokyo
31/3 (Day 8) - Tokyo (Departure from Haneda Airport at 11.00pm)

Please let me know whether a 7 days JR pass is enough to cover what I suggested above or you have any other option for me. Please advise.

One more thing, do we able to enjoy the sakura flowers during our visit? If yes can you recommend any famous place to watch it.

Thanks and Regards
Tan Wee Ying

Hello Tan Wee Ying,

I would suggest using a 7 day JR Pass from day 1-7. This would help you make nice savings compared to purchasing normal tickets. All your travel would be included for this period.

Sakura depends on weather conditions, for the last couple of years this has started near the end of March, so you'll have a good chance to go and see the Sakura. When in Kyoto, go to Kiyomizudera, Arashiyama and Yoshino. All are amazing places to enjoy the Sakura.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
