Hi there,

With hokane, do you mean, Hikone, Hakone, Hakodate, maybe somewhere else?

I'd like to confirm that as it can make quite a difference in ticket prices.

I was talking about hakone to watch mt Fuji

Do you think this trip is a bit of a rush, if it is I would be willing to cut out hakone.

Hi there,

Hakone is directly on the route from Kyoto to Tokyo, so making a stop there would not be hard. I do think it would be nice to visit the area.

About the JR Pass, you will mostly be traveling one way from Kyoto - Tokyo. It would be cheaper for your trip to buy normal rail tickets.

Enjoy Japan!
Daniel
