My family of 4 adults have the following itinerary:
6/27/24 Tokyo to Osaka (Nozomi train, Takyubin luggage transfer)
6/28/24 Osaka to Kyoto (4 oversized bags)
6/30/24 Kyoto to Nara round trip
7/1/24 Kyoto to Kamakura (Takyubin luggage transfer)
7/3/24 Kamakura to Tokyo Disney (Takyubin luggage transfer)

I would like reserved seats and we will have 4 suitcases on the Osaka to Kyoto train.

It looks like buying individual 1st class tickets is less than JPY 50,000. Is that correct?

Hi there,

Yes, for your itinerary it is likely to be more cost-effective to purchase your tickets individually when all things are considered. However, the JR Pass will cover all of your itinerary and so it is still an option worth looking into if you feel that a pass is better suited for you.

Hope this helps!
