Hello! We are going to Japan in May with the following rough itinerary. It didn't seem like the 7-day pass would be worth it but seeking thoughts!
5/22 - Osaka to Kyoto round trip
5/23 - Osaka to Nagoya round trip
5/24 - Osaka to Izu Peninsula
5/26 - Izu Peninsula to Tokyo
5/27-5/30 - Travelling within Tokyo
5/31 - Tokyo to Osaka

It would be more cost-effective to use individual tickets because your travel dates are spread out. For local travel, you could use regional passes such as the Kansai Area Pass, but only if you are travelling a lot on the same day.
