Hi Hoa,

Your itinerary looks great to me. There are no parts that worry me and the route looks good.

What you could do to optimize your itinerary consider visiting Hiroshima on the way to Hakata instead of a day trip from Kyoto. This way you save a good amount of hour traveling back and forth between Kyoto and Hiroshima.

Is there any part in particular you'd like feedback on?

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi,

We would like to do a similar intenary but we only have 21 days in Japan.(flight back and forth to Belgium inclusive )
What things should we take out of the internary? But we really want to maintain the places where we can hike.

Any feedback is always welcome!

Thanks in advance,

Hylke

Daniel san,

Thanks again for your help!

I will consider your suggestion for Hiroshima.

Day 19- 21, stay Fukuoka or Nagasaki?

Day 22-23, stay Kagoshima, is Kumamoto a good stop or day trip from Kagoshima?

Day 8- 9, for luggage's transfer to Tsumago, do you think I have enough time to get there before 11:30, leaving Tokyo- Nagoya-Nakatsagawa?

Best regards,

Hoa

Hi Hoa,

Both Fukuoka and Nagasaki are great stops. I think Nagasaki has more to offer in things to do as a tourist while Fukuoka is simply nice if you with to enjoy Japanese city life.

Kumamoto is nice too but its main attraction the castle was heavily damaged in an earthquake last year and won't be accessible. Instead you could make a day trip from Kagoshima to Ibutsuki. It is a very nice place to visit.

I'm not sure about your question regarding Tsumago?

Kind regards,
Daniel
