itinerary for others than Shinkansen

Sirs,
we are planing to go from Kyoto down to Kagoshima and return through Okayama, all planed with the Shinkansen itinerary. From Okayama to Yokohama we only find the very fast trains which are not included in the JR Pass which we intend to buy for 2 weeks. How can we enter into the itinerary for other trains than the 2 very fast and excluded lines.
How to make our further planing?

Hello Romana,

Can you tell me what tools you are using to search?

You can use the Hikari and Sakura Shinkansen between Okayama and Yokohama. On average, there's at least 1 service per 30 minutes usable with the JR Pass.

Hi,

You can see regular fares, routes and schedules on Hyperdia.
Under "More Options", be sure to uncheck the Nozomi box since you can't ride that train using the pass.
