Itinerary order & leaving luggage

Hi there,

I am planning a 15 day trip at the end of February & am working on the below rough itinerary:

Tokyo - 3 nights
Hakone - 1 night
Osaka - 2 nights (inc day trip to Nara)
Naoshima - 1 night
Hiroshima - 1 night
Miyajima - 1 night
Kyoto - 3 nights
Tokyo - 3nights

Does this itinerary look good & make sense in the order of locations? Is it worth a 14 day JR pass?

For the trips to Naoshima & Miyajima islands i wondered if there are facilities on the mainland (perhaps in Okayama and Hiroshima) to leave luggage? So we don't need to take all our luggage on the ferries & around the islands?

Hi there,

Yes, your route looks good to me and I do not see any problems. There are coin lockers at nearly all rail stations. It would be no problem to leave your luggage at Okayama station and collect it later when you return from the island.
