Tokyo for 5 nights. General sightseeing in Tokyo. Day trip to Hakone/Mt Fuji. Day trip to Nikko on last day.
Nagoya for 2 nights. Day trip to Toyota museum.
Kyoto 3 nights. Day trip to Nara Park.
Hiroshima 2 nights. Day trip to Miyajima
Osaka 4 nights. Day trip to Himeji
Please advise which pass/passes would be suitable and if we would need separate transport tickets for Tokyo and Osaka.

For your itinerary, I would recommend purchasing individual tickets for the main legs and using a Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass specifically for the middle portion of your journey. As the pass is valid for five days, you could activate it on your second day in Kyoto to ensure you get the fullest coverage for your onward travels.

Thank you. Would we purchase the individual tickets from Japan Train website as e-tickets before arriving in Japan as well as the area pass on the JR Pass website before arriving in Japan.
With travel within Tokyo would a prepaid IC card be the best option.
