JR pass for winter festival

Hi.

I’m flying to Narita on February 5. I’m planning to go straight to Sapporo and spend 2 days. Then 1 night in Asahikawa then 1 night in Otaru. Then proceed to Akita then from there Niigata back to Tokyo.

Will the JR pass work please?
