JR Pass itinerary

Hello !

We are a group of 10 attending the conference at Pacifico Yokohama Convention from 3-9 May (depart by 10 May) sponsored by Japan Government. Our hotel is based of course in Yokohama (Negishi line). We are planning to go to Hakone, Kyoto and Osaka (each for a day trip) via Shinkansen. Hence we are planning to buy the 7day JR pass.

I know I could get schedule from Hyperdia.com. I am not too tech savvy that is why I am asking for your kind assistance. Could you help me find out if we are able to travel to all three cities departing from Yokohama or we have to go to Tokyo. I know also that there are fast bullet trains that we cannot use like Nozomi. Could you find out for me the trains available for us using the JR pass.

I know for Hakone, we could originate from Yokohama (pls. confirm if I am right) but for Osaka and Kyoto I think it has to originate from Tokyo (pls. confirm). We want to start our trips early like 9am. I understand we are 30 minutes away from Tokyo. So we have to leave 8am to get to Tokyo and get our Shinkansen there?
