Dear all,

We are planning the following 9 days itinerary: Tokyo-Yamanashi (Mt. Fuji)-Osaka (visiting Kyoto for a day while in Osaka)-Hiroshima-Tokyo
It would be much appreciated if someone could tell us whether the JRP could be used to travel to all of those destinations.
Also is the pass eligible for local transport, for example within Tokyo?
Thanks.

Hi there,

Yes, the JR Pass would cover travel between all the cities you plan to visit. You still may need some additional travel for local travel, such as around Fuji. That said, you would make very good savings on this route using a Japan Rail Pass.

You can also use local JR lines using the JR Pass, such as the local JR Network in Tokyo.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
