Hi,,
please, is it worth buying a JR Pass? Alternatively, is it possible to buy 2 passes for 2 different periods if I am not travelling anywhere in the middle of my stay? Here is my itinerary:

October 3 Narita Airport -> Tokyo hotel
October 5 day trip Toyo -> Nikko -> Tokyo
October 6 Tokyo -> Hakone
October 8 Hakone -> Takayama
October 11 Takayama -> Matsumoto
October 15 Nakatsuwaga -> Okuwa and back
October 16 Nakatsuwaga -> Nagoya
October 17 Nagoya -> Kyoto
October 21 day trip Kyoto -> Uji -> Kyoto
October 22 day trip Kyoto -> Kurama -> Kyoto
October 23 Kyoto -> Osaka
October 25 day trip Osaka -> Nara -> Osaka
October 28 Osaka -> Himeji
October 29 Himeji -> Okayama
October 30 Okayama -> Hiroshima
October 31 day trip Hiroshima -> Miyajimaguchi -> Hiroshima
November 2 day trip Tokyo -> Kusacu -> Tokyo
November 4 Tokyo -> Tokyo Haneda Airport

Thank you!

Hi there,

I would recommend buying a 14-day pass for the second portion of your trip, starting from Nagoya and ending in Tokyo, as it would likely be your most cost-effective option - this would mean that for the first portion of your trip I'd suggest purchasing tickets individually.

Kind regards,

Alexis
