Hi, i am planning to get the 7 day pass we will be in japan around 8 days,
when we arrive at tokyo narita airport, we are planning to go to osaka right away. does the pass include trains to Osaka?
and what kind of trains are they? and will it be the same train to take us back to tokyo a few days later? can we use this for the metro?

Hi there,
Yes, the JR Pass covers the route to Osaka as well as the local JR network in Osaka.
You can use the Shinkansen Hikari bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka and back too. The metro is not included but you can use local JR lines in cities like Osaka and Tokyo.
