Hi daniel,

Please find ny itinerary below with questions.

Day 1: narita to nagano (activate jr pass)

Thank you in advance.

Hi there,

From Nagano (Hakuba) to Osaka, you can take either route. Going via Nagoya is more scenic as you ride a ltd. express train trough the Japanese Alps, while via Tokyo is a more smooth ride as you'll be on the Shinkansen all the time. Pick the route you like best or that best fits your time table :) Both are covered by the JR Pass.

For travel to Otsuka, just take a Hikari Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka station to Tokyo and from Tokyo the JR Yamanote line to Otsuka.

For travel back to Narita Airport, you can use local trains that cost around 1,200-1.500yen/one way or alternatively, use the Narita Express for more comfort and faster service. Around 3.000yen/one way.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
