Hi,

I will budget backpack to Japan on 10Apr-21Apr2018. My itinerary will be
(10Apr reach haneda airport and next day fly to osaka)

Osaka : 11-14apr (day trip to Nara)
Kyoto : 14-16apr
Hakone : 16-17apr
Tokyo : 17-21apr (will go disneyland)

Do i need buy JR pass for my itinerary? or just buy normal train ticket will do? Which way more budget?
Where i can buy Hakone package ticket (included bus, cruise, train & cable car) in kyoto? Mostly people told me just shinjuku station only able to buy hakone ticket.
Do i need buy ICOCA & Suica card for both cities? Does the card can use on train and bus? If yes, where i can purchase both card??

Please advise and HELP....

Thanks...

Hi there,

I would have recommended a 7 day JR Pass if you used the train to travel to Osaka as well. As it stands now, it would be better to buy normal tickets.

You can buy the Hakone ticket upon arrival in Hakone, such as on Odawara station but can't be purchased directly in Kyoto.

Suica/ICOCA is not something you need (cash works too) but is very convenient.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
