Not sure it makes sense to buy a 14 day pass

Our trip is
Tokyo to Kawaguchiko May 17 th
Kawaguchiko to Matsumoto May 19
Matsumoto to Takayama May 21
Takayama to Kyoto May 23
Kyoto to to Osaka May 25
Osaka to Hiroshima May28
Hiroshima to Tokoyo May 29

I’ve looked at the comparison tools and they all say it is cheaper with a 7 day JR pass … but it seems like I need a 14 day one and then it seems like it is really not a great deal … or does a 14 day pass still make sense
Thanks

Hi there,

Your conclusion is direct, but look at using a 7-day JR Pass from May 23 to May 29, this may still be a good cost saving option using a 7-day Japan Rail Pass.

Very nice trip btw!
