Hi,

Leaving Obama, Unzen city. Best alternative to reach Kagoshima? Train from Nagasaki, Hakata, Kagoshima or ferry to Kumamoto?

Well, by bullet train direct from Fukuoka is by far the easiest. It would take much longer from Nagasaki. Taking the ferry would make sense if you're in the area and driving.

Thank you for your reply.

I will be in the area without car. Taking the ferry from Shimabara will be faster than going back to Hakata and to Kagoshima.
