Should I get a JR pass?

I'm thinking of traveling to Japan with my 2 kids (2 years old and 1 year old):

1) Is the JR pass good for Narita airport -> Tokyo -> Fujiyoshida Yamanashi -> Yokohama -> Osaka -> Nara -> Kyoto?

2) Is the children pass the same price as adult?

3) We are going to be there for 12 days, should I get the 14 days pass or 7 days and add the the extra trips separately?

Hi there,

1.) The route can be covered with the JR Pass, except for Fujiyoshida Yamanashi - which will need additional transport, likely a bus.

2.) Children below the age of 12 are half price.

3.) A 7-day JR Pass would likely be the best option, if you can include all the long distance/high cost travel routes.

Kind regards,
Daniel
