Hello, I think the 7 day pass would suit us best for our itinerary. Would appreciate your help please.
We are a family of five, 2 adults and 3 kids ages 7, 10, 12.

April 24 -- Tokyo to Kawaguchiko by bus.

JR Pass Day 1. April 26 -- Kawaguchiko to Kyoto by train (I should activate the 7 day pass on this day?)
JR Pass Day 4 April 29 -- Day trip from Kyoto to Nara and back to Kyoto (we can use the JR pass for this, correct? )
JR Pass Day 5 April 30 --- Back to Tokyo by Train.

Also - can the JR pass be used to go from Kyoto to Arashimaya ?

Thank you very much,
Hana.

Hi Hana,

Yes, I think so too :) My recommendation would be to use the JR Pass on the day that you travel to Kyoto. You can also use the JR Pass to Nara, and Arashiyama (the station is called Saga-Arashiyama).

Hope this helps,
Daniel
