Which Pass and is it going to be worth it

Can someone please help. We are travelling from Ireland to Japan 7th July 26 until 24th July 26.
Our rough itinerary is something like this:
Tokyo to Hiroshima (2days)
Hiroshima to MIYAJIMA
MIYAJIMA to Osaka (2days)
Osaka to Nara(1day)
Osaka to Kyoto (4 days)
Kyoto to kanazawa (1day)
Kanazawa to Hakone (1day)
Hakone to Tokyo (1 day)
Tokyo (3 days)
I’m not sure if the JR pass is worth it or how many days we should get our pass for. Any help with this or itinerary greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi there,

Thank you for your question!

I'd say you're pretty close to a 14-day JR Pass, but as it stands would have to add a little but of travel. Maybe a day trip or two would be enough. I'd also consider it for the convenience, as it covers travel between all the cities you plan to visit.

Note that within Hakone, you may still need additional transport.

10th July - travel to Hiroshima
11th July Hiroshima
12July MIYAJIMA
13 July Travel to Osaka
14th July Osaka
15th July Travel to Kyoto
16th Kyoto
17th July Kyoto
18th July Kyoto
19th July travel to Kanazawa
20th July kanazawa
21st July travel to Hakone
22nd July Travel to Tokyo
23rd July Tokyo
24th July Tokyo
25th fly home
