Which pass to buy

Hi,
I like to travel from Haneda airport to Karuizawa on the 9 May for half day tour then from Karuizawa to Nagano to take the bus to Omachi Onsenkyo.
On 10 May I will be doing the alphine route from Ogizawa to Toyama then take the 17:15 Ltd Express to Takayama.
On 12 May I will take bus from Takayama to Shrirawakago (day trip) then to Kanazawa.
On 14 May I will take train from Kanazawa to Kyoto and on 16 May from Kyoto to Osaka.

Is it worth while for me to get the JR pass as there is also the Takayama-Hokuriku or the Alphine -Takayama-Matsumoto pass.
Does JR bus cover the Tateyama route? Does it covers the bus from Nagano to Ogizawa.

As I calculated if I buy the ticket it will cost me total about $37,000 Yen but JR pass must be used consecutively.

Pls advise as soon a possible.

Hi Jacqueline,

The Alpine route and bus to Ogizawa are not included in the JR Pass.

After Osaka will you fly out of Kansai Airport? A JR Pass would be worth it if you return to Tokyo but I don't think it would be worth it if you depart from Osaka. I don't think that any of the Hokuriku passes would be worth it either, most passes are based on a return trip and you may only be traveling one way.
