Hi!!

I am traveling to Japan in April and I will be getting a JR west all area pass to visit Kyoto-Osaka-Hiroshima-Miyajima-Kanazawa. However, on the last day I was thinking in going from Kanazawa to Tokyo. I checked using the app Navitime and it says that part of the journey is covered by the pass. However, I am not sure how to proceed. Do I need to buy a separate ticket for the area not covered?

Thanks,

J

Hi there,

Not sure why it says that, Kanazawa-Tokyo is not covered by the JR West All-Area pass. You'd have to separately purchase a ticket on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.

Hope this helps!
