Hello, I have a few questions.
1. For our trip on Jan 11th, which type of JR Pass should I purchase? We will be landed at Fukuoka Airport, go to Osaka and Kyoto, and go back to Fukuoka.
2. Will there be enough time to purchase JR Pass?
3. Once we have the JR Pass, do we need to reserve seats? Will there be a case we cannot board the train since it is full? Or can we take the bullet trains at our convenient time if we have the JR Pass?

Looking forward to your reply.
Thank you!
Erlinda

Hi Erlinda,

1.) It depends on how many days, but a 7-day Japan Rail Pass would be a good start.

2.) Yes, we only need a few days for delivery. See: https://www.jrpass.com/delivery

3.) Both is possible, as in you can make seat reservations, or take a non-reserved seat using the JR Pass. Personally, I prefer making reservations, as you always have a good seat.

Kind regards,
Daniel
