Good morning Daniel San
I bought Green pass for my wife and I who would be in Japan from 15th night to 24th morning. I intend to use from 16th morning for seven days and need your guidance on whether in these sections we have Hikari trains with Green coaches
1. Mar16- Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima and back
2. Mar17 - Shin-Osaka to Nara and back
3. Mar18 - Shin-Osaka to Kyoto and back
4. Mar19 - Shin-Osaka to Odawara
5. Mar 19 - Odawara to Mr.Fuji station - en route visit Hakone cable car and boat ride and bus ride to Mt.Fuji
6. Mar20 - Mt.Fuji Station to Kawaguchi Station and around by Bus
7. Mar21 - Mt.Fuji Station to Shinjuku Tokyo
8. Mar 22 - Shinjuku station to Yokohama and back

Requesting your guidance on the above and help us optimize our JR Pass. Also, which is the best way to get WIFI for our use over the 8 days stay? Do we also get SIM cards at Narita airport which we want to use for our stay to make local calls if needed

Hi Suresha,

I guess going route by route is the best option here:

Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima and back
You can use the Sakura Shinkansen (Green Sea) here.

Shin-Osaka to Nara and back
This is a local train and does not have Green seats.

Mar18 - Shin-Osaka to Kyoto and back You can use the Hikari Shinkansen (green car) on this route.

Shin-Osaka to Odawara.
There are Green Cards here as well.

Travel around Fuji, most travel is not on JR lines.

Then you can also use green carriages to Yokohama and into Tokyo on the JR Tokaido line or even use the SHinkansen.

For WiFi, I very much recommend our Pocket WiFi service and comes without limitations and can be used anywhere. For call Sim cards, due to strict regulations, it is not easy to buy a sim card for local calls or is quite expensive when you are not a resident. As an alternative you could use call apps like Skype can make calls that way.

If we miss the booking is there any penalty
As i am holding only my JR Pass purchase confirmation, how do i get this into actual pass at Shin Osaka station on 16th Mar? Is the counter open at 0800 hours? In which floor it is situated
