Best pass for 14 days of itinerary

Hi,
My name is Rajesh Gaonkar. I am planning to travel to Japan from 05 April to 18 April 2025.
My tentative itinerary is as follows

05 April - Narita Airport to Nippori
06 April - Nippori to Nikko
07 April - Nippori to Mount fuji
08 April - Nippori to GALA Yuzawa
09 April - Sightseeing in Tokyo
10 April - Nippori to Yokohama
11 april - Nippori to Shin-Osaka
12 April - Shin-Osaka to Universal-City Station
13 April - Shin-Osaka to Morinomiya to Tennōji
14 April - Shin-Osaka to Kyoto to Torokko Arashiyama
15 April - Shin-Osaka to Kyoto to Nagoya City
16 April - Nagoya city to Nippori
17 April - Nippori to Shibuya to Harajuku to Shinjuku to Tokyo to Nippori
18 April - Nippori to Narita Airport

Please suggest the best option for JR pass.

Hi Rajesh,

I'm happy to help!

For your trip, I would recommend using a 7-day JR Pass from 11 April to 17 April.

For other destinations, you might consider the JR East Pass.

Hi Mariko,

I am thinking to go for
Option 1 - 14 days JR pass i.e. from 5 April to 18 April which will cover my entire trip.

or

Option 2
Tokyo wide pass for 6th , 7th 8th April
Tokyo subway pass for 9th April and 10th April
Hokuriku Arch Pass from 11th to 17th April
Narita express pass 5th and 18th April.

Please suggest the best option

The 14-day Nationwide JR Pass provides the convenience of unlimited travel on JR trains, saving you the time and effort of buying individual tickets, and offering a simpler solution compared to using multiple regional passes. While you can easily board most JR trains, please remember that seat reservations are mandatory for Shinkansen bullet trains.
