How many days before arrival in Japan should we order the JR Pass?
Can we not receive an online voucher so that we don’t have to pay the extra delivery charges? We can use the electronic voucher received on line in getting the actual JR Pass at the airport.
Due to the uncertainty of travel because of the corona virus, can we not just buy the JR Pass at the airport upon arrival. This way we don’t have to go through the hassle of getting a refund in case of travel ban.
I heard there are changes on the JR Pass starting Ring 2020. What are these changes?

Hi there,
1.) I would recommend going so 2 weeks or so. This leaves plenty of delivery time.
2.) We do need to deliver the pass to you.
3.) You could do so, though the price in Japan is up to 20% higher.
4.) The full details have yet to be announced but won't go into effect before summer 2020.
