I am planning on visiting Japan on an organised tour which includes a pre=purchased14 day JR Pass. My intention is to stay an extra week and I would like to extend the existing and used 14 day pass to a 21 day pass as that is much cheaper than purchasing an extra 7 day pass. Is this possible?

Hi there,
JR Passes cannot be extended. However, you could purchase an additional 7-day pass to cover the extra week once your 14-day pass expires.
