We are travelling to Japan for 21 days however the middle seven days are to be spent only in one place. I am wondering is it possible to purchase a 14 day rail pass but pause it so that we are only using it for the first seven days in the last seven days.

Hi there,
The pass is counted in consecutive days, meaning it will count down from first day of use. It is not possible to pause the JR Pass.
