There's 2 adults and 1 child in my group travelling in Dec as such:
16 Dec (arrive evening Tokyo) - 19 Dec - Tokyo
19 Dec- 23 Dec - Appi Kogan
23-24 Dec - Morioka
24-29 Dec - Tokyo
29-30 Dec (depart Tokyo) - Narita
Is it worth getting a JR Pass for 14 days for this travel schedule?

I do not think that a 14-day JR Pass would help you make savings on this route, as such, buying normal rail tickets is the better option.
