Hi, we are in Tokyo 26/10-29/10 then Kyoto 29/10-5/11. Essentially we have 3 full days Tokyo and 7 in Kyoto. We plan to travel to Kyoto via train and take a couple of day trips and then Kyoto to Osaka airport. Is it worth our while purchasing a 7 day pass or should I just purchase individual tickets for destinations on the day of travel?

Hi there,
Because you plan on spending longer times in cities, it’s likely that a JR Pass will not be your most cost-effective option. If you plan on making day trips to places like Hiroshima, Himeji, Nara etc., it may be worth considering a 5-day Kansai-Hiroshima Pass.
Kind regards,
Alexis
