Does the JR pass cover my itinerary

Hi, We are a family of 4 (kids are 19 and 21), please find below our itinerary:

Land at Haneda Airport on 26th Aug
2 nights in Tokyo
2 nights in Kanazawa
3 nights in Kyoto
2 nights in Hiroshima
2 nights in Osaka
2 nights in Hakone
5 nights in Tokyo

Questions:
Is this a good itinerary, do you think it's too much travelling?
What JR Pass covers the travel?
Can we use the JR passes from and to the airport?
Does the JR Pass cover - Hiroshima Transport Pass and Hakone Transport Pass, or the Romance Train?
How many days in advance do I need to book the seats?
Does the pocket Wifi work for all 4 of us?

Hi there,

The JR Pass covers all these routes! Do keep in mind that locally, you may still need additional transport depending on where you plan to travel. Primarily within Hakone, this is the case.

The JR Pass also includes travel to and from the major airports like Haneda, Narita and Kansai.

Within Hiroshima, you can also use the tourist bus, local JR lines and the JR ferry to Miyajima for free.

For Hakone, you can use the Shinkansen to Odawara station (the gateway station for Hakone) or the JR Tokaido line. Travel on other transport within Hakone or the Romance car are not included.

If you travel on normal days, I recommend making reservations 1-2 days ahead of time. During periods of heavy travel, like national holidays, 4-5 days is better.

Pocket WiFi can connect up to 10 devices, so it should be plenty if it is the four of you together.
