Understand there will be a price increase for JR pass in Oct.
As I will be travelling in Dec 28, can I purchase the JR pass now to avoid the price increase?
I will be travelling from Tokyo to Hakodate, Niseko, Noboribetsu, Otaru, will it be advisable for me to get the 7 days pass?

Hi there,
Likely, you can still use the old price if you activate the pass before Dec 31st and buy at the last day of September.
A 7-day JR Pass is recommended for this route, especially if you go back from Otaru to Tokyo as well.

Btw, I will be flying off from Sapporo so won't be going back to Tokyo :)
