Hi in Shin-OsakaI entered the shinkansen area with my new JRpass.
Then took the shinkansen to Kyoto. However when getting out I realized I had another person’s ticket instead of my JRpass.
Somehow I must have picked up some else’s ticket at entrance gates ( automatic ticket control machine)
So someone has my JR pass registered with my passport number and I have some other ticket.
Does anyone have an idea what to do?
I have no idea how this happened.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about this, it would be near impossible to track down how has your pass if it was not done right there at the same moment.
The best would be to ask at the same ticket gate/station lost and found to see if somebody turned it in.
Kind regards,
Daniel
