Request for Guidance on Japan Rail Pass Options for February 2025 Trip

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am planning to visit Japan in February 2025 and will be travelling to Tokyo, Fujiyoshida, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. I intend to visit the major attractions in these cities using public transport, including buses, trains, subways, and the Shinkansen.

My travel sequence will be:

Arrival in Tokyo
Travel to Kyoto/Osaka
Travel to Hiroshima
Return to Tokyo

As the Japan Rail Network is extensive, I am slightly confused about the most suitable pass for my itinerary. I request your guidance on the following points:

Which rail pass would be the most suitable for the above itinerary?
If I purchase the Japan Rail (JR) Pass:
Will Shinkansen rides be included at no additional cost?
Can the JR Pass be used for unlimited Shinkansen travel during the validity period?
Which types of Shinkansen are covered under the JR Pass?
For routes such as Tokyo to Kyoto/Osaka, Osaka to Hiroshima, and Hiroshima back to Tokyo, will the JR Pass fully cover these Shinkansen journeys?

Can we use JR pass in above mentioned CIties? if yes how can we identify the rail line which accept JR pass.

A 7 day Japan Rail Pass would be the best option, if you can do travel between al the cities you plan to visit within the validity period.

Will Shinkansen rides be included at no additional cost? Yes, the entire Shinkansen network can be used without additional cost. Please note that if you want to use the Nozomi service, then an extra fee applies, but this completely optional.

Can the JR Pass be used for unlimited Shinkansen travel during the validity period? Yes! You could spend all day on the train if that would be your plan.
