I am traveling to pick up my son in Japan, who will return to the states with me after we do some site seeing. I am ordering a JR Pass for myself and was wondering if I can secure one for him although he is on a 6-month visa currently?

Hi there,
Everyone will need to be on a temporary visitor visa (V) to use the JR Pass. Your son, can, of course travel with you, using normal rail tickets.
