Hi there,
Since your plans are spread out, individual tickets are likely the best approach. For the western portion of your trip, the Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass (5 days) would be useful. This pass also covers the Nozomi and Mizuho Shinkansen trains between Shin-Osaka and Hiroshima.
