We are traveling to Japan in October and will be visiting the following places: Osaka – Hiroshima – Miyajima – Himeji – Kinosaki Onsen – Kyoto – Shirakawa-go – Takayama – Nagoya – Nakatsugawa – Kamakura – Tokyo.

Hello there,
The only place that would need additional travel to visit is Shirakawa-go. As there is no train going there. You can take a bus from Kanazawa or Takayama.
