Hi, we are 10 adults and 1 child (1 year old). arriving Tokyo Narita on 19th March 2023. From Tokyo we plan to travel to Osaka, Kyoto back to Osaka and then back to Tokyo on 24th March. Total trip is 9 days. Leave Tokyo on 28th march.
In this case can i buy the 7 day JR pass for tokyo-osaka-kyoto-osaka-tokyo ?
Probably remaining 2 days i use normal tickets within tokyo city ?
Also can this pass be used for local bus and train transport as well ?
Thanks.

Hi there,

A 7-day Japan Rail Pass would be a great option here, if you can cover the return between Tokyo - Osaka. Then use local tickets, an IC card - like Suica, or normal tickets for the remaining days in Tokyo.

The JR Pass covers local JR Buses and the entire local JR network in Cities like Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka but transport operated by other companies (such as municipality buses & metro.

Hope this helps :)
Daniel
