I would like if you could check my itinerary and tell me the best day to activate the 14-day JR pass.

Day 1: Narita Airport - Tokyo
Day 2: Tokyo - Nikko - Tokyo
Day 3: Tokyo - Kamakura - Hakone - Tokyo
Day 4: Tokyo
Day 5: Tokyo - Nagoya - Kyoto
Day 6: Kyoto (Arashiyama and Kinkaku-ji)
Day 7: Kyoto
Day 8: Kyoto - Hakata
Day 9: Hakata - Mijajima - Hiroshima
Day 10: Okayama - Himeji - Osaka
Day 11: Osaka - Nara - Osaka
Day 12: Osaka - Kanazawa
Day 13: Kanazawa - Takayama
Day 14: Takayama - Nagano
Day 15: Nagano - Tokyo
Day 16: Tokyo - Narita Airport

I would also like to know where to find the train schedules.

Also, we will be travelling during the golden week and have been advised to book the train tickets in advance, could you let me know how to do that?
