Hi we will be arriving at Haneda Airport by 12am on May 19th 2019. I would like to ask how we can collect our JR pass from there and what trains we should hop on to reach osaka. Is the jr line open at that time or would we need to wait till it opens in the morning? Thank you so much.

Hi there,
You can exchange the JR Pass at the JR office at Haneda Airport. It is open between from 6:45-20:00. As there is no public transport in Japan after midnight. I would suggest booking a hotel near the Airport or within Tokyo.
You can travel on the following morning. Use local JR lines to travel to Tokyo station, from there you can get on the Shinkansen to Osaka.
