Greetings. I will be traveling from Narita to Kanazawa on Feb. 6; Kanazawa to Yamanouchi Feb. 7; Yamanouchi Nagano Feb. 10; Nagano Nagoya Feb. 12. Will the JR pass work for all of these trips and is a 7 day pass correct? Also, do I need to reserve any seats in advance? Thank you.--Patricia

Hi there,
The JR Pass covers travel between these cities but you have to keep one item in mind, you can use the JR Pass to travel from Kanazawa - Nagano but from there you will require additional transport to Yamanouchi. The JR Pass would still be cost efficient though & help you make good savings.
Seat reservations are recommended but not required. The exception on your trip is the Kagayaki Shinkansen on the Hokuriku SHinkansen which is by reservation only.
