Trip to Japan May 4-8 and whether to get a JR pass

My wife are visiting Japan from May 4-8 arriving at Narita airport.
I have several questions:
1. If i purchase the JR pass on line how will i actually get the pass. On arrival at the airport i pick it up?
2. I believe since this is a holiday wweek it is best to schedule our trips now-is this possible without actually having the pass even though i buy it online?
3. I would like to know if the JR pass will work on all the paths of our travel itinerary
A. Narita to Shinjuku JR Station
B. Shinjuku JR station to Sagamai-Ono station (Odakyu line)
C. Sagamihara station to Hachioji Station
D. Hachioji Station to Matsumoto station
E. Matusmoto Station to Shinjuku Station
F. Shinjuku Station to Narita airport
Will the JR pass work on all 6 of these trips (A-F) or will i need to get additional tickets?
