Is it possible to make seat reservations as soon as arriving to Japan even though the JR pass wont be activated until a few days after our arrival? We are arriving on a thursday in may and wont use the JR pass until sunday the same week. Can we go to the train station on thursday and ask for the pass to be activated on sunday and at the same time make seat reservations for a trip on sunday?

Hi there,
What you can do is set an activation date for your JR Pass when you exchange the order at a travel office. Once you set the activation date, you can start making seat reservations for the dates that your JR Pass will be active. So yes, this is possible :)
