I will be travelling with my family to Japan this December.
I will arrive on the 6th December and leave on the 21st December.
As we will be going only around Osaka, Kobe & Kyoto - is it best to get the JR Pass or regional passes? Regional pass doesn't go over 7 days??

Hello H,
Since your travel is only around the Kansai Area, I do not think that a Japan Rail Pass will help you make savings.
Instead, you could look at a Kansai Area Pass, or Kansai Area Wide Pass in case you are a bit more adventurous.
Finally, use the JR Farecalculator to get an idea of ticket prices
