Hello! So I'm planning an 8 day trip for me and my fiancee for 2027 and I'm curious whether it would be worth it to buy the pass or buy individual tickets. So our plan is to use the train from Haneda Airport in to Akihabara, then the next day, go to Shibuya to see Meji Shrine, go back to Akihabara (so we don't have to carry our luggage around). Leave from Akihabara to Fukui, stay there a couple days then go from Fukui down to Nagasaki. Thank you for the help!

Given your itinerary, if you are planning to return to Tokyo from Nagasaki or if you intend to visit other cities such as Osaka or Hiroshima on your way, the JR Pass certainly offers the best value. It also saves you the hassle of purchasing individual tickets for every single leg of your journey.
